Yesterday I spent some of the day down at the apartment and Brian was at the house trying to set up a "foundation" for his shed he's going to build. While down there I was able to get everything moved from the upstairs to the downstairs. Everything was packed/thrown away and it felt really good to be able to get all that accomplished. All of the remaining things at the apartment are sitting in the living room waiting to be moved. We hope to get there sometime this week to get everything from the apartment loaded into the truck and moved here to the house. There's going to be a fair amount of "goodies" to be moved from the basement. By "goodies" I mean all Brain's stuff. His tools, equipment etc. That's going to require a decent amount of time that neither of us have had lately. One thing that works in our favor is that the lock on the basement door is Brian's and the only people that have a key are the two of us and our former neighbors Dan and Jess ( we shared the washer and dryer with them). So, since we have a key and Dan and Jess are still living there so the lock can stay on the door, we have a little more time with getting the basement cleared out.
Anyway, as I was leaving the apartment there was a beautiful black kitty right at the bottom of the steps. He looked as if he was going to run away from me but I started talking to him and eventually warmed up to me. I figured he was a stray since 95% of the cats downtown are. I sent Brian a text with his picture and he said he was pretty so of course I called him. He said "whatever" to my question of bringing him home. Needless to say after wanting a kitty for so long I have one. His name is Justyce and he is so lovey and cuddly and talkative. When my mom go her most recent cat (Nathan) I told her I wanted one like him and now I got him! He and Radar have their moments by they've been pretty good with each other.
Another great part of yesterday was that Brian was working on building a foundation for his shed and everything seemed to come out perfectly for him. He said when he measured things and leveled them they were right on. I was excited for him! He also had stopped by the apartment to grab some things on his way to the scrap yard. He took 2 end tables and 4 tires and put them out in front of the house and sold them yesterday!
Today we ran to Kmart because I wanted to get some clothes line and some clothes pins to hang laundry out. There's been a rug there that we've both wanted to get but it was too expensive. We just happened to go down that aisle today and I noticed the rug was on sale! $25 less than what is was before!
GOD IS GREAT!
God is so good! Yay for kitty!
