I was so excited for the weekend. Finally two whole days off where I could just hang out and do nothing. Haha, silly girl.
Last night seemed to be the start of it. I got out of work at 5 and when I was home I started dinner. It turned out very well if I do say so myself. Not having cooked much while being home, my skills are nil. Since Brian has been off I've been trying to cook more meals. I've been on days for just about a month so the latest I've had to work has been 7 (thank you God)! It's a lot easier for me to try and cook when I'm not coming home at 8:00. I also like to cook. It's almost relaxing. It makes me happy knowing that it makes my husband happy too. Anyway, I digress. After dinner we went to grab a cookie cake from the store because I've been craving one lately. It was already kind of late by the time we ate and got the dished cleaned up so we just came home, watched the news, and went to bed. Then it all started. It took me forever to fall asleep. It seemed like right when I was about to fall completely asleep Brian accidentally tickled me or moved or something. That happened multiple times and I began to get annoyed. The last time I was finally able to fall asleep for maybe a half hour to an hour before I was RUDELY awakened by our OBNOXIOUS neighbors screaming and yelling. Brian got so mad he accidentally kicked a hole in the wall. OOPS.
This morning we woke up quite groggy because of the goings on of the night. He was going to hunting around 7 but decided to stay in bed until about 8. We got up and I immediately began to look for new apartments. I thought I found one that looked good and in our price range so I had Brian call. He had to leave a message but he told the guy we were interested and that he would appreciate a call back. He decided he was going to get ready and go hunting and I made the decision to take the puppy for a nice walk in the gorge. Things were fine, no big deal. Radar had a great time running around and meeting other puppies. It was really nice to just be outside today too. The weather was perfect. I enjoyed just being out with my puppy admiring creation. God is amazing. People who think the world was formed from a bang have no idea.
Puppy and I got home and cleaned ourselves up because we were quite a mess. By that time I had decided that I'd like to shoot my bow some more so I could get used to it. Brian was still hunting to he told me to meet him at the church around 5 and we'd shoot together (even though he's not allowed because of his surgery). So we did. He got a phone call from the guy about the apartment. Apparently it's only for students. IT DIDN'T SAY THAT ON THE SITE! GRRRR! Aggravating. We went inside to practice for Sunday morning service and that went great. It's going to be a good worship tomorrow!
Brian and I leave practice and of course we've both driven separately because he was hunting. I get half way home (I'm following him) and my alert tone went off and my oil light started flashing. I just figured I needed an oil change. Nope. He told me to pull into the country fair and we popped the hood.....OIL EVERYWHERE! And it smelled terrible. So it's yet to be determined what's really wrong with it. There's oil all over the drivers side and it's leaking out the bottom somewhere. I went through 4 quarts of oil in around 5-10 minutes. I almost made it home without the light coming back on. Brian is only one-handed at the moment anyways so I really hope he can get some help with fixing it and hopefully it's an easy fix!
Dear Jesus,
Please let it be something that's easily fixable. You know Brian can only use one hand at the moment and you know how we need 2 cars. Even though Brian's off work it's still a lot easier for us. Please let there be someone who can help him because You know I know zilch about cars. I thank you God for everything that you've blessed me with and I pray that you would help me live my life for YOUR GLORY!
Amen!
