Life Lately

As one could imagine, having a two year old and an eight month old running/crawling around doesn't leave much time for anything else and I'm sad to say my blogging has earned a place on the back burner.

Things around here really aren't much different than the last time I blogged.
The kids are growing like crazy.

Deklan is an awesome, train-loving, curious, adventurous, little guy.
He loves to be with his daddy and do everything Daddy does.
A few weeks ago he showed Brian how to work on the lawn mower. hehe.
He loves to be outside and asks to go out everyday.
He loves trains and is constantly talking about them and he shows everyone he sees his trains.
When we pass train tracks when we are out, it makes his day. Of course it's even better when there is a train on the tracks.
He loves his fruit and veggies. Broccoli and bananas and grapes are his favorites.
It's awesome so see him take everything in and learn all he can.
He's very much like his daddy in that his mind is already very mechanical.
He's always trying to figure out how things work and how to put things together.
I can't believe he's two already!

Regan is such a sweet girl.
She's working on popping that fourth tooth through.
She's  definitely a Mama's girl and follows me around all the time.
If I stand still for just a minute she's climbing my legs wanting to be picked up.
She pulls herself up on everything and loves to stand.
She also loves her veggies. She seems to favor peas or carrots over anything else.
She loves graham crackers and veggie straws.
She would rather eat "big people" food over baby food.
She's a pretty mellow girl now, which is a huge change from how she was for the first five months of her life.
She doesn't like to be away from me and only has a select few people she will go to.
She loves other kids her size and watching her interact with them is adorable.
It's hard to believe it's been eight months since she's been born. She feels like she's been here forever!

We've been in our house for two and a half years already.
I wish I would say we've been able to do more to it, but we haven't been able to yet.
Soon though it will really feel like home.
Don't get me wrong, it does feel like home, but once we have some new furniture and paint on the walls, it will feel much more like it.
We have quite a few projects in mind and hopefully we will be able to accomplish some soon.

That's really all that's been going on around here.
I will TRY to get on here more like I want to.
Sometimes it's easier said than done!
